HireBlue Career Fair: What you need to know

Life after college is something all students dread thinking about. Imaging future jobs and

internships is intimidating and truly, we’ve all been there. Thankfully, the University of

Kentucky has a solution: The HireBlue Career Fair.

The HireBlue Career Fair is on February 25, 2026 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. open to all

majors at the Gatton Student Center. Students can engage with potential employers from various

industries. Even if you aren’t sure what you want to do in the future, this event is the perfect

place to get started.

Here are some tips and tricks to make a long-lasting impression:

- Make sure to update your LinkedIn and Handshake

- Have your resume printed and elevator pitch ready

- Iron your outfit and try it on beforehand because last minute frantic outfits are the worst!

What do I wear or bring?

What to Wear:

- Think professional business attire!

- Go neutral for the base (white, navy, black, or gray)

- Blazers or cardigans on top

- Dress, tailored pants, or a pencil skirt for the bottom

- No jeans and nothing too flashy or casual

- Add personality touches with patterns, accessories, and simple jewelry

- Closed toed shoes that are professional, but comfortable

What to Bring:

- Printed resume

- A practical tote to store business cards

- Portfolio

What Questions Should I Ask?

- Can I connect with you on LinkedIn or Handshake?

- What is the hiring process like?

- What is your role as well as other specific roles within the company?

- What is the workplace culture?

- What opportunities for growth are there here?
